Family, Friends, Community
Mesa Verde, Upper and Lower Birds, State Streets, Wimbledon Village and South Coast Collection
Family, friends and community along with personal freedom are what I value the most. We all want a safe, clean and well managed city in which to live and raise our families. I will be your voice in District 1.
My wife and I raised our children in Costa Mesa, our home of 22 years. We love Costa Mesa, where I have been active in our community:
Member, Costa Mesa Finance Committee
Commissioner, Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation
President, School Advisory Board
Volunteer, Costa Mesa Boys and Girls Club
Coach, NJB Basketball and AYSO Soccer
As a business owner who started my career as a CPA, I know what it takes to create jobs, balance budgets, and battle government red tape. Having been a city commissioner, I know how to make government run more like a business.
Instead of building reserves during the past years of economic growth, Costa Mesa now has a budget crisis ($30,000,000 deficit). Had responsible financial practices been used, Costa Mesa would have reserves instead of deficits. We are now facing significant cuts in services and infrastructure.
As your representative, I will fight for you:
Better financial management to enable hiring more police and firefighters
Eliminate $250,000 in Councilmembers’ personal assistants
Improve parks, streets, and curbs
Battle homelessness with both services and enforcement
Oppose high density projects like One Metro West that threaten our quality of life by increasing traffic and stretching our police/fire resources
I PLEDGE to represent YOU in making this city a great place to live for our families, friends, community and personal freedoms.
